Abstract:According to the practical requirement of target detection problems in sea clutter background, the time-varyingproperty of sea clutter spectrum was analyzed using measured data based on the analysis results of the scattering mecha.nism. Firstly, the Doppler shift and spreading phenomena, which were caused by the motion of sea waves, were analyzed inthe illustrated area, as well as their dependence on radar working parameters. Then, the existing research results on themechanism of sea clutter were analyzed and summarized. Based on the mechanism analysis, the time-Doppler spectrum ofsea clutter was estimated via the tapering period gram method, and the time-varying property of sea clutter spectrum wasanalyzed in two aspects, including the statistical analysis of the correlation time, and the relationship between the spectralwidth and the tailed degree of time domain sea clutter. The above analysis results can provide theoretical guidance in areassuch as the modeling of sea clutter spectrum, the development of sea clutter suppression and target detection methods.
