Abstract:The traditional wind measurement method is based on wind measurement equipment such as pitot tube to realizeaccurate real-time wind measurement. Considering the need to reduce costs and other requirements, some aircrafts are notequipped with wind measurement equipment. In view of this situation, in this paper, a method was proposed to realize windmeasurement through route turning maneuver flight. Assuming that the atmospheric wind field would not change in a shortperiod of time, two equations were respectively constructed on the two routes before and after turning based on the speedtriangle principle, and the atmospheric wind field information was obtained by solving the two equations in combination.The Monte Carlo method was used for simulation verification. The results show that the method is simple and effective withhigh accuracy, and a new idea for real-time measurement of atmospheric wind field was also provided.
