Multistatic airborne sonobuoys is one of the effective technical approaches to deal with the continuous improvement of acoustic stealth ability of underwater targets. The index of airborne sonar buoy was analyzed, and the configuration of bistatic sonar was given. Based on the bistatic sonar equation, the detection range of bistatic sonobuoy under three typical marine environmental conditions was calculated by numerical simulation. The influence of marine environment on multistatice sonar detection is discussed, which lays a technical foundation for the multistatic tactical operation of airborne sonobuoy.
